History: Bertram hails from a village terrorized by illithids. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Blacksmith they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Detective, and he later adopted a second son.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. His mother was a mechanic, and taught him how to fix just about anything. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
