History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a illithids raid, leaving Korfel alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Korfel was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes goblins are coming to abduct people. He misses his home and complains about the freezing weather, even in summer.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a goblins raid, leaving Alvyn alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Trag was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He now mingles about in high society.
