Personality: He misses his glory days as an athlete. He does not mind his job, but it is boring in comparison. Balam enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: His necromantic talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He always admired necromantic-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
