The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. She saw this and took pride in her father's willingness to do anything to win. History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Motivation: Retire the richest woman in the south; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: He was born into a rich family. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
