History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. In his 16th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.

History: A child with a great deal of music talent her parents made sure she got the chance to thrive. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a daughter. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.
