History: Melissa was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her father was employed at, doing general labor. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Merchant. He tends to his Merchant job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: His religion dominates his actions; and he is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Nothing but the best is good enough for him.

History: Trained by her father for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Barber. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Barber for hire.

Motivation: Regain custody of her daughter; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
