History: The child of a Adventurer, who enjoyed hunting, Portia was taken on many hunting expeditions. Through the years after Portia was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Portia's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has never given up on her writing dream.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Miller hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and to pay off his debts

Personality: Jo wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Commoner, so she tries to act the part. She does a good job, for the most part... She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. She made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
