History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He was granted necromantic powers by his dying sister.

History: Ekemon hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Ekemon alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
