Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Hobart was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

History: Hlin was born in the east. At a young age she loved to build and create. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She has comitted a past crime that haunts her to this day; and seeks redemption

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Gnomish companion (her 'brother'). She has dedicated herself to building a better world.
