History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Astar was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Dadalan was born on a far southern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Knight. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and he doesn't get along with people that don't share his tastes
