As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: When he was but 8 years old his parents immigrated from the north. He moved out south to avoid the crime he committed. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Lia alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Revenge; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and she desires to right it
