Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting goblins, the young Adam began to lead the lost caravan. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Interpreter they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Miller, and he later adopted a second daughter.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He was a friend to animals and a trickster. In his defense of animals however he would do severe harm to people. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and doesn't want to be a dilettante and was forced into it by his family

History: Gifted from a young age, Spring studied abroad. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away; and wants to work out more often
