Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: A powerful brothel owner made him what he is. In his 18th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. Some 6 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Berrian never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.

Personality: She's a bit of a prankster. She knows she is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. The war was a terrible time for her, and Emerald does not often speak of it. When she does, she does so with a strained expression and tears in her eyes.

History: She served in the navy to pay for her family's outstanding loans. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Her fierce gray eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: She likes to fabricate stories about her past exploits and how crazy she is, but in actuality she is rather bland. She has a small toy that she constantly fidgets with.

History: She was born in the north. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the north were limited. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Motivation: She is content.

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. She wears a red armored body suit, with a simple white line shooting up and back down. Her hair, while still mostly brown, has prominent grey streaks. Her eyes, though not visible through her cowl, are amber.

Personality: She seems absolutely devoid of it. She stares off into space and will respond with overly literal and minimalist answers to questions. Only to laugh say gotcha and shoot double pistol fingers at the fooled target.

History: When she was but 8 years old her parents immigrated from the south. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: To end her boredom; and to find somewhere to settle down
