When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Scribe hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: Hoglik lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Laborer they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Soapmaker, and he later adopted a second daughter.
