Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with music. He constantly tries to fill his life with music. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Qualen grew up listening to his father's many stories. In his 20th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his father impaled in their home, and his mother beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: He uses money and sex appeal to get what he needs; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark
