History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, River was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. River grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did River. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Personality: He likes to make people angry or surprised. The occasional robbery is his preferred attention getting crime, but he mainly uses his means for meeting his own perverse desires.

History: He was born in the south. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. Being a Crown-heir kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Fisher hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She was granted psionic powers by her dying brother.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to pay off her debts

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Slave Trader. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. A gifted student he started as a Armorer, but he got bored and became a Slave Trader. He now mingles about in high society.
