History: Meriele was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Expert, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Expert in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Meriele was born on a far western desert where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Priest. She has dedicated herself to building a better kind of golem.

History: Hugolina lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. One day when Hugolina was young, her father was sewing while trying to overcome the flu, when suddenly her father dropped to the ground dead. Her father had died from a severe disease that was unknown to the village doctor. Hugolina was heart-stricken from the event, and her mother started working long hours to provde for them.
