History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Slave Trader arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. After a long history of fighting, Astaro and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. He was an apprentice working in his father's forge. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
