Personality: He is a Butcher first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is motivated by money and will often try and persuade people to work for cheap. He haggles over everything, upselling his goods and buying cheap. He is persistent in everything.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Varis grew up listening to his mother's many stories. A gifted student he started as a Courier, but he got bored and became a Butcher. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Butcher for the past few years.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Ploughman. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.
