History: Born in the west to a Bowyer, Pogranix learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way north. She then took over the family business and is one of the better Bowyer for hire.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. Tod was born on a far eastern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Brewer. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

His father worked until he suffered an accident while they were digging through a hill for a new route. He had to support his now crippled father and took his father's old job. He has never given up on his writing dream.
