History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Astaro and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born in the north to a Seamstress, Ranala learned a great deal about her mother's area of expertise. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Seamstress. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.

In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.
