Personality: She is witty, but her monotone delivery comes off as unnerving Her philosophy is that everyone needs a friend and as such shows hospitality towards all.

History: Helen was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Ruler hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Map Maker they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Ruler, and she later adopted a second son.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Maynild embodies much of what other species detest in the Half-Elves. She plays an instrument quite well.

History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. In her 13th year, while out on a day-trip, she returned to find her hometown burning and destroyed. She found her mother impaled in their home, and her father beheaded. She saw the woman who walked out, and charged her in a blind rage. The woman easily evaded and defeated her, leaving her to live broken and terrified. She has never given up on her writing dream.

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Her childhood dream was to be a Spice Merchant, but she was a colossal failure. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her daughter. Heartbroken, Mardred never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her daughter whom she trained as her mother had trained her before.
