Shadow was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Ellywick was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She's also a talented Stylist, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Her partner is her best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. She is always in debt, since she spends her money on lavish parties and gifts for friends

History: She was born on a small isolated farm. Her childhood dream was to be a Soapmaker, but she was a colossal failure. She now owns her own business.
