History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. A freak accident while working with his Carpenter father left him crippled. He now mingles about in high society.

Description: He dresses in collared shirts and wears a proper scarf over his head. With a patchy white beard and wild white hair. His half smiles and green eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Gûnd is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He was born in a small mountains village. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Being a Carter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Personality: She is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as she rather likes the sound of her voice. Her demeanor is somewhat feminine. She receives visions of the future at random moments

History: She comes from a rich western family. A serious injury left her mother unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm mother. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.

Motivation: She has money and likes to spend it; and to pay off her debts

Personality: He has two modes he varies between. On the job he is cold, steely and emotionless. Off the job he is a party animal. Animals are drawn to him, and he is able to talk to them.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. He's also a talented Blacksmith, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Layabout responsibilities is difficult.
