History: A powerful brothel owner made her what she is. Through the years after Mardred was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Mardred's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has since married many spouses, only to have them die. She claims to not be responsible.

History: Born to a Ploughman, her mother struggled to pay the bills. When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Soapmaker hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She became a Soapmaker soon after.

Motivation: She has a rivalry with the Church that dominates her actions; and doesn't want to be a soapmaker and was forced into it by her family
