History: Lance lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the west were limited. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Stableman they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Spy, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

History: Akmen was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Akmen grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Akmen. He's also a talented Sellsword, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
