History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Quillathe grew up listening to her mother's many stories. In her 17th year, her parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Quillathe alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: Born in the east to a Glassblower, Roywyn learned a great deal about her father's area of expertise. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has been saving her money to try and buy her brother's freedom.
