History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her father. She struck it rich when she found rare goods in large quantities. She now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she is greedy

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Layabout born in the past three hundred years. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her family was turned out during the war. She and her family wandered north to less war torn lands. She saw the violence of war and the aftermath so she converted to religion and dedicated herself to non-violence.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and she has a rivalry with the church that dominates her actions
