History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. Through the years after Riardon was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Riardon's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Raised by wardens she was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. Her father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her father was legitimate. After a long history of fighting, Shautha and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: To prove her worth to the world; and a deep hatred of dire rats

Personality: He goes out his way to put a smile on everyone's face. There's no-one he won't accept into his heart. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing music.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He has had some formal music training, and achieved minor success. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. She does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Oriel was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She helped her mother out around the business and became quite the natural. She has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Sculptor.
