He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Halander fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright grey and brown, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. He sports a flattop hair cut. He is missing an eye and his face is severely sunburned. His one remaining eye shines blue.

Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Nicholas took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up quarterstaff and armor he uses now. He was forced to fight in gladiatorial arenas alongside his partner. They became the best of friends and one day they managed to break out together and then went their separate ways.
