History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Duergath alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Map Maker they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Apothecary, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. He does suffer from mild PTSD, and the sight of dire rats may trigger it at times.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Emerald will drive conversation. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when illithids swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Emerald grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Emerald. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.
