History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. In his 12th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Thorpe alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He helped his father out around the business and became quite the natural. He was granted arcane powers by his dying sister.
