Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Mantus fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. In his youth he was part of a gang. He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: Marry his sister to traveling adventurers; and to protect his home

Description: His skin is bronze and flawless. He wears clothing that is held on in multiple layers but all of it is in poor condition. He is an epitome of beauty. He has styled his red hair well, parting it to the left. He has a tattooed face.

Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. To his fellows he is seen as friendly and intelligent, but is angry and unforgiving to the so called fatcats and any who do and have associated with them.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Through the years after Conrad was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Conrad's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.
