Personality: Abrasive and pushy, he has a hard time making friends. He is obsessed with his god.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Bookbinder. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Description: His left thumb is blackened and bruised, but otherwise he appears quite healthy. He wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. He has moderate length blonde hair. His half smiles and brown eyes are beguiling and draw you in.

Personality: Here is a man who knows he is the smartest in the room. He talks down to others constantly. He moves from fascination to fascination almost instantaneously. If something can keep his interest for a month it is impressive.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. Randal liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

She wears long strands of amethyst and short grey dresses (or suits) accompanied by the proper stockings and shoes, with gloves of varying lengths. She keeps her brown hair in a flapper bob. She wears round tiny glasses practically rammed into her face.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Carter born in the past three hundred years. She has a cruel streak; something she gained from her previous mentor. She harbors resentment against her former mentor.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Williamina was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her childhood dream was to be a Courier, but she was a colossal failure. She inherited the family business which she has now maintained for 7 years.

Motivation: An old rival family wants her found.

Description: This eastern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She tends to wear a heavy leather apron. Coupled with her rolled up shirt sleeves this gives her a very relaxed look. Her hair, while still mostly silver, has prominent grey streaks. Her brown eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for her. She lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: The child of a Body Guard, who enjoyed hunting, Adrie was taken on many hunting expeditions. Her arcane abilities were realized during a raid on her village. After a long history of fighting, Adrie and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and she's looking for her big break
