He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger brother on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

After coming to the age of reason, Arannis took it upon himself to study the divine arts in their entirety; because of this, he was labeled a dark omen and banished from his homeland.
