History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His childhood dream was to be a Bather, but he was a colossal failure. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and to unite with his brother

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Halfling companion (her 'brother'). Since then, she has sought to make the best of life.

Description: He is wearing the road beaten gear of a warrior. He is physically well-built. His auburn hair is greasy and uncared for. His face possesses mild wrinkles. His smile is extraordinarily sincere though he does not smile often.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He refers to his adoptive mother for almost all things he is unsure about, which are numerous. He is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. At a young age his mother died while driving off some illithids. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in longsword use. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Alex fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion
