Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. On top of that he is swayed by a pretty face, and while loyalty to his employer will always come first he doesn't like to hit women.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gardain grew up listening to his father's many stories. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Personality: She is shy and timid. She has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.

History: Verna lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Halflings in the south were limited. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Ploughman they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Tailor, and she later adopted a second son.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She is a ruthless business woman, a trait she acquired from her mother.

History: Ranala was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. Ranala abandoned her home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. She survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. She did whatever it took for her to survive. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.
