Description: An imposing man with a heavy stainless steel prosthetic right leg, he wears a shirt and pants that are bristling with pockets overflowing with maps, compasses, and other navigational equipment. His brown hair is still thick. His violet eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. He has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: Faran is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. In his 16th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Faran alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
