History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Matilda grew up listening to her father's many stories. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Matilda alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He keeps company with all sorts of races to see how they think and challenge minds foreign to his own.

History: Paggen lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: This southern woman's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, she slurs her words together. She tends to wear a white poncho over her likewise colored trousers and shirt. Her hair is always cut to a buzz. Her eyes are likewise brown. Her teeth are yellowed and unaligned.

Personality: She considers herself the protector of her home. She feels this is her duty and calling. She is susceptible to being scared and is in actuality easily frightened. She likes to tell stories.

History: Her mother raised her in a mountain cabin. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. She eventually got the idea of being the protector of her homeland from reading books, and has made it her duty.

Motivation: She possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and she is a bit of a kleptomaniac

Description: A pudgy woman standing about 4'10" has a big stupid grin on her face most of the time. She wears professional attire. Her chestnut hair is lengthy and is close to two feet long. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.

Personality: She is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before her hampering stammer kicks in. She has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a woman enough she will sell her own mother. Money is her most trusted friend.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Grigi grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She inherited a moderately successful company from her mother. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.
