History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Slave Trader arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Lamlis will drive conversation. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Lamlis is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.
