History: Born in the south to a Spice Merchant, Hirrathak learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He took after his father in leading caravans. Because they were valued, his father taught him to defend himself. When his father died while fighting giants, the young Hirrathak began to lead the lost caravan. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and he desires to right it

Emeny's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with her absent mother; and find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother

History: He comes from a rich southern family. His parents enrolled him in a Monk school at a young age so that he could practice his psionic talents. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
