History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his 17th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He's also a talented Banker, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: She feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help; and she is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions

He got caught, but did not rat out his comrades and served his time in prison. Being a Carter kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored.
