Personality: She is irritable and easily angered. She is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use her stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her father and mother. Her father taught her the rudiments of the Carter arts, while her mother instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. Through the years after Bethrynna was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Bethrynna's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He exudes charisma. He is a tour de force of persuasion. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
