She found a children's book about a Half-Orc Wizard who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She was granted divine powers by her dying sister.

Some 3 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Maagog never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his mother had trained him before.
