Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. The war was a terrible time for him, and Veit does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Veit was born the youngest of three triplets. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.

History: Mella was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She was an apprentice working in her mother's forge. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

History: She was born into a rich family. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Description: This man is moderately tanned and has just the faintest trace of an accent. He is typically in his Roofer uniform. His tied-back hair is red. His eyes are likewise gray. His teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: He loves telling others what to do and how they should feel about things. He is skeptical of what others tell him and is slow to trust.

History: The child of western immigrants he idolized his father. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Roofer. He has set out to sabotage the competition.
