History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Trail was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He is a Hag in disguise. He became part of the deadliest team of assassins in recent memory. A botched job caused the group to be disbanded. In his journeys he found a malevolent artifact. He wishes to return this artifact and its corrupting influence back to where it came.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Serpent lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Bather hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Bather and was forced into it by his family; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright grey and blue, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems, marred by sweets. His golden hair is cut short with large spiked bangs in the front. His face is scarred and worn.

Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. He is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His psionic abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.
