History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. Recently a tribe of illithids attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Godfrey fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. He is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure he is not cheated out of a speck.

History: Vilberg hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He's looking for his big break; and retire the richest man in the east

Unlike her family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, she wanted to work in the city. She has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: Her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by giants, and she desires to right it; and to find somewhere to settle down

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. A freak accident while working with her Ploughman father left her crippled. She's also a talented Ploughman, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Wants her loneliness to end; and to be a ploughman again
