History: She was born several months after her father was called into army service. A gypsy cursed her at a young age, leading to her ugly appearance. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. He always tries to repair and not replace. It was this mentality that drove him into the Armorer business.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Armorer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Armorer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

History: She got into the Glassblower business at a young age. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She has set out to sabotage the competition.
