History: Born in the north to a Soapmaker, Tomi learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Tomi took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up sai and armor he uses now. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

History: She was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She is searching for what she claims is her rightful reward.

When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.
