History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. Some 2 years later his spouse died after the birth of his daughter. Heartbroken, Patrick never married again. Instead he focused his life to raising his daughter whom he trained as his father had trained him before.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Adelaide will drive conversation. She is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Description: This fat northern woman has a bulbous nose and is bundled in multiple layers and is prepared for a desert trek wearing a turban that covers her face most of the time. Her skin is also unnaturally pale. She has done her best to style her blonde hair to look like a famous performer. Her violet eyes are desperate and heavily dilated. She has the appearance of someone under the heavy influence of drugs.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She dislikes loud distracting noises, but is overall hospitable. Her biggest love is that of knowledge and as such will purchase any books or pay to listen to tales that travelers might have.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.
